Some photos from my recent trip to Berlin

I recently visited the German capital Berlin for the first time. I wasn't really sure what to expect, as I had talked to both people who absolutely loved the city and to some that were less than impressed by it before. I personally ended up liking Berlin a lot, it really is a very interesting city, full of contrasts, and of course the impressive KaDeWe department store might be one of the best ones I have ever been to!

(A small part of Paris right in Berlin!)
(The top floor of KaDeWe, which is actually a good court. And a really good one too!)
(Details from the hotel I stayed in, the Palace Hotel. This is in their lobby)
(I would have definitely wanted to have a drink here if it was just open as Moet & Chandon is my favorite brand of champagne. But unfortunately the weather was not exactly "sitting outside and drinking champagne"-y during my visit...)

Of course I had to do some shopping as well, but not as much as you'd think. I was busy walking around and exploring the city, so I did not have as much time for shopping excursions as I would have wanted. But I did manage to find enough time to buy 2 Louis Vuitton city guides and a Louis Vuitton pochette!

I had been wanting a pochette for a while but never got around to getting one so I am glad I finally got that out of the way!

And I did manage to shop quite a bit at the Diptyque stand at KaDeWe too!
So all in all, good shopping scores, cool city and a lot of fun! I think I will definitely try to go back to Berlin again!

My favorites from the Spring 2017 fashion shows so far

Paris Fashion Week! Isn't it exciting?
I have been checking out pics from the Louis Vuitton show all day on Instagram myself. And I think I have seen enough of the different designers have to offer for Spring 2017 in order to have a few favorites already. They are, in no particular order:

(Alice + Olivia)

(Hermes)

(Longchamp)

(Monique Lhuillier)

(Bottega Veneta)

As for models, seeing Lauren Hutton model for Bottega Veneta was definitely a high light!

Shopped: Black Chanel blazer

Lately I have been looking for a black blazer, but not a boring one, as I already have 2 black blazers that are just too basic for me somehow. So I was looking for something a bit more spectacular to be honest. And on Ebay of all places I found the perfect blazer: A Chanel one, lightly used but in perfect condition, from the Fall 2014 collection.

That will actually be the first Chanel jacket I own. I used to think of them as rather old fashioned for a long time, so I was just not drawn to them, but I think this one is basic, but not too basic due to the little speckles and the open front. Not to mention the pretty Chanel buttons!

So I think this one will work quite well with the rest of my wardrobe...

My new bag has already arrived!

Wow, so if you order something from Farfetch, you really get it very fast! I must say that although my order of the Dolce and Gabbana bag mentioned in my previous post was my first Farfetch order, I am already super impressed by them!

And the bag is just gorgeous as well, although I am not sure Farfetch can take credit for that to be honest...

But all in all, a very positive first experience with that online store! (and a very positive third experience with the Dolce and Gabbana Majolica line, I guess!)

Shopped this weekend

This weekend I both visited a large mall in order to shop and did some online shopping.

At the mall, I got a miniature set of Louis Vuitton's new scents, their first scents in a really long time, that I had been curious about for quite some time. And I just could not choose one scent in the store, I had to try them all so the miniature set seemed like a good idea.

Plus, the set is so pretty!

Online, I decided to get some another Dolce and Gabbana Majolica patterned piece (as I suspected I would do pretty soon here), this time a bag: the mini Sicily bag.

Small bags are kind of my thing these days as I try to carry as little as possible with me. Makes running after a toddler much easier, believe me!

Shopped: 2 pairs of Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses

As I mentioned in my previous post, I really love the new Dolce and Gabbana Majolica themed collection. So much so, that I already bought a pair of sandals from it (pic of those another time!) as well as a pair of sunglasses:

I actually got them on MatchesFashion.com and it was my first time buying something from them. I am pleased to say that the experience was really good, they shipped fast, the packaging was impeccable and so on.

Before finding the actual new Majolica sunglasses from the latest collection I also tried looking for them in local stores where they had not gotten the latest collection yet. They did, however, have a pair from the previous collection, in simple blue and white.
Since that is a color combination I really love as well, I decided to get that pair too.

So now I, who always tend to favor round, oversized sunglasses, actually have 2 pairs of cat eye sunglasses! Yikes! I hope I will get used to that look! But I think it will be easier with these pairs than with some other similar pairs, given how pretty they are...

I really am very pleased with my buys and still considering getting more stuff from the Dolce and Gabbana Majolica collection. That's how obsessed I am with it!
Maybe a skirt?
