Today I'm loving...

... these fun fashion photos by Richard Warren. Tango is a very fun and original idea for a fashion shoot!

I have some news...

I forgot to mention it here on my blog, but I actually got engaged recently, so now I am in the middle of planning a wedding. Does that mean that I should get this cool Moschino t-shirt to wear after the wedding?

Today I'm loving...

... this Perle Fleur et Chaine necklace by Lanvin. It's a classic (the pearls!) with a twist, even if I think the rose doesn't actually have to be there, it would have looked better without, but it is still stunning!

(I have some pearls myself, but I don't wear them on a regular basis, both because I have heard that they get scratched or ruined easily and because they are not as stunning as these Lanvin ones!)

Today I'm loving...

... the fact that it is the weekend already. The weekend so far has been really excellent for me, I have been to a party, sipping some bubbly wine, and now I am going to curl up in my bed and read my new book The Thoughtful Dresser: The Art of Adornment, the Pleasures of Shopping, and Why Clothes Matter, which I have been looking forward to a lot.

Have an amazing and relaxing weekend, everyone!

Today I'm loving...

... Marc Jacobs mouse ballet flats. I've been wanting to get a pair for years already, but I never found quite the pair I loved, in the right size.

But these new ones are in silver metallic leather! So cute!

French chic

I have a friend who absolutely loves Sonia Rykiel, she is always going on and on about how talented she is. I do not usually agree completely, I think there are several more talented designers out there at the moment (Alber Elbaz, for starters!), but her Resort 2011 collection is really quite pretty and wearable!

Today I'm loving...

... this Maison Martin Margiela Triple Star Ring. Simple genius!

Newbies

Do you remember how I was all obsessed with the French brand Derriere la Porte a while ago? Well, I recently got two wonderful presents: A sewing box and a coffee jar, made by... you guessed it, Derriere la Porte!

The obsessing starts again...

My new H&M cheapie

I did promise that I would show off my new H&M finds here a while ago. The problem is that most of the stuff is already in the wash (meaning they are not really in the condition you would want them to be for blog pics), but this dress has actually been washed once already, so she is up for a small presentation.

This is a short cotton dress that I love because of the pattern, it manages to be sort of ethnic and very 80's at the same time, which I think is really cool!
I am planning on wearing it as both a dress, and as a superlong tanktop with leggings.

Today I am impressed by...

... Nicole Richie, believe it or not! (I actually never thought I would see the day when I said or let alone wrote that, either, to be honest)

Have you seen the collection she designed for House of Harlow 1960? The jewelry is amazing!

Today I'm loving...

... this wonderful Rosantica Millefili necklace. I'm usually not too big on "statement necklaces", since I am scared I will get bored with something too big and bold very quickly. But I think I could live with this one for a while...

Too bad it's already sold out!

Dreaming of... some books

I love fashion books, as some of you already know, and I have a pretty large collection of books related to fashion in one way or the other (from Victoria Beckham's That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between - which is surprisingly good! - to the Fruits series with pictures of Japanese kids in amazing outfits, to classics such as The Little Dictionary of Fashion: A Guide to Dress Sense for Every Woman by Christian Dior as well as Genevieve Antoine Dariaux's fantastic book A Guide to Elegance: For Every Woman Who Wants to Be Well and Properly Dressed on All Occasions.

But there is always room for more, so I just ordered two books online: Dreaming of Dior: Every Dress Tells a Story by Charlotte Smith (that I have been wanting to read for like, forever! Or since it was published, anyway...) and The Thoughtful Dresser: The Art of Adornment, the Pleasures of Shopping, and Why Clothes Matter.
Can't wait for them to arrive!

Today I'm loving...

... the new maxi dresses on ASOS. They're kind of casual, but kind of dressy, without trying too hard, all at once.

And I love the colors!

Besides that, I did some shopping at H&M today (will put some pics up as soon as I remember to get batteries for my camera!) and had the most delicious salmon sandwich. Can't complain...

Today I'm loving...

... this adorable Markus Lupfer Perfume Bottle sweater (even though I usually do not like sequined things that much). I would not wear it right now (it is way too hot for that, after all!) but in the fall I would love to snuggle up in this while reading!

Today I'm loving...

... this awesome outfit, as found on The Sartorialist. The dress is adorable, the shoes give it some edge, and the hair is just so much fun. The perfect summer look, if you ask me!

Today I'm loving...

... this amazing Beyond Vintage Lace Dolman Top. I can think of a million ways to wear this, and a million things to wear it with. What an amazing piece!

Pretty!

I'm pretty boring when it comes to nail polish. I try to stay away from the most extreme shades (that said, my nails are mint green as we speak, so I do try the occational fun color every once in a while too!) and prefer classic, neutral and yes, slightly boring colors.

But classic and neutral doesn't always have to be boring!
O.P.I really proves that with their latest Pink Softshades 2010 collection, I love each and every shade in this collection! They're all just so girly, sweet and feminine. And it doesn't make me feel like too much of a fashion victim to wear them either!
