One of my favorite collections for spring 2014...

... quite surprisingly, I might add, since I am normally not drawn to this brand, is Tory Burch's Spring 2014 looks. I love this top, for instance:

And I think it would look just perfect if matched with these pants, also from Tory Burch's Spring 2014 collection:

But bummer, I shouldn't be buying any of these pieces right now, since I will be heavily pregnant this summer. So I really should be looking at maternity clothes instead! But that's nowhere near as fun as looking at regular clothes, unfortunately. Most maternity clothes are rather boring and unflattering after all...
So if anyone reading this has any tips on where to get cute, fashionable and even flattering maternity clothes, I would love to hear them!

A trend I am so not sure of...

... is the high fashion sneakers, seen in both Chanel's Spring 2014 Couture show:

and the Dior Spring 2014 Couture show:

(the Chanel sneakers are by far nicer than the Dior ones if you ask me!)

You see, I have always believed that it is hard to be really fashionable in these types of shoes, and that they should be worn for sports - or possibly long walks at most! - only. I also believed most Parisians thought the same... So it's really kind of surprising to me that both Chanel and Dior seem to think that sneakers are fine for any type of occasion, and should be matched with high end clothing.

That said, of course any fashion that allows us to be more comfortable in our daily lives is a positive thing. So I do think a lot of people will like this trend, but I have to say I really don't like the look of these shoes, and would not be wearing them like they were worn in the shows. I think Converse are a much more chic option for a casual look instead, and for a fraction of the price of these shoes too!

Katy Perry and I like the same things!

Either that, or she reads my blog and got the idea for her gown for the Grammys here!
In all seriousness, I have to say she looks adorable in this dress, though! (It does look like she modified the dress, however. But she - or whoever did it! - did it well!)
And she was definitely one of the best dressed at the Emmys, if you ask me!

Today I'm loving...

... this Moschino bracelet, which matches a vintage Moschino bag I was lucky enough to find for a steal in a second hand shop once (I don't think I've ever mentioned that Moschino bag here on the blog, but I blogged about it over at my handbag blog once) perfectly. But of course it looks quite cool on it's own too!

I know a lot of people are into the belts that spell out Moschino in gold letters, but if you ask me, this is a more chic and original option for sure. So why not consider it instead of those belts that so many people seem to have?

My weekend so far

I still have a bit of a cold, but I still managed to get out a bit today, and that was just lovely. This day really made me appreciate where I live, since the weather is definitely nicer here than in a lot of other places in the world at the moment (and so are the views!). This is what I saw on my day out and about today:

Lovely, isn't it? Let's hope the rest of the weekend will be as lovely, for both me and all my readers. Happy weekend!

Another gown I really like

Is this Valentino one, from the Valentino Spring 2014 Couture collection. I love the musical whimsy, coming from a family of musicians, even though I am not one myself.

I must admit, however, that the rest of the Valentino Spring 2014 Couture collection was not really to my liking. It was just really dark and stuffy for me, which was surprising, since I normally adore everything Valentino. But that collection did not feel very Valentino to me at all. So this gown was actually the only piece in the collection I liked!

Today I'm loving...

... the gowns shown in Elie Saab's Spring 2014 Couture show yesterday. Nobody does gowns fit for a princess, queen or Hollywood star better than him if you ask me!

Looking at these photos surely makes me wish I had a much more glamorous lifestyle that called for gowns like this. But sadly, I am home sick with a cold instead, wearing a pink Adidas sweatsuit... Not very glamorous at all!

Today I'm loving...

Ulyana Sergeenko's Spring 2014 Couture collection, or at least parts of it. I have to say that the collection is very typical Ulyana, which I personally love, because I feel her style is so unique compared to most other things we see, but it also means some pieces of the collection were a bit too over the top. But the pieces that were a bit more toned down were just amazing, so luxurious, but also draped so beautifully, and so wearable, I think. There are some of my favorites:

Today I'm loving...

... this cute patterned Anna Sui wool blend cape.

Not only because it looks adorable, but also because it is insanely cold where I am right now, and nothing seems to keep me warm, no matter how many pieces of clothing I wear. This seems like a cape that would be very warm though. Plus, capes are made so you can comfortably wear other garments (even a lot of them, if you want!) under them, haha!

Today I'm loving...

... the food themed iPhone 5 cases ASOS just got in.

I don't know why, but these really make me smile for some reason, so I would love to carry them around and hopefully make others smile too. But unfortunately I do not have an iPhone 5 myself, as I am more of a Samsung Galaxy girl, so I won't be getting these, unless ASOS comes up with a Samsung Galaxy version of them!

(you can get the cases here, here and here)

Today I'm loving...

... Mulberry's absolutely adorable Spring 2014 campaign, featuring a bunch of adorable animals!
As a huge animal lover myself, I always love seeing animals in unexpected places, and I do think they are more photogenic than people too (no offense, Cara Delevigne!), so Mulberry's campaign turned out really nice, if you ask me!
