My beauty routine

I'm one of those people who don't like to spend too much time in the morning getting ready, so my make up and beauty habits are fairly simple and minimal.

I guess I am also a bit weird in the sense that I actually use more time cleaning and moisturizing my skin than applying things to it. I simply don't think I have enough time in the morning to apply things such as concealers, blush and eyeliner. But if you keep your skin in good condition by using good skin care products, I think you can get away with it, so this is what I am trying to do on a daily basis.

Currently my skin care and make up routine consists of a cleanser and toner from the rice-based line from L'Occitane, a strong sun block from Clarins (I live in a hot and sunny country, after all!), eye cream from Decleor (they make different kinds, but I never remember which one I previously used, so I always end up buying a different kind every time I go shopping for these), body lotion from Bvlgari (I am a big fan of Niveas more budget-friendly lotions too!), Great Lash Mascara from Maybelline, some Citrus Verbena perfume from L'Occitane and some Smith's Rosebud Salve in Minted Rose (I just love it, it feels like it plumps up the lips as well as moisturizes them, probably because of the mint, but I do use Mocha Rose every once in a while as well).

I do wear more products for parties and special occations, and I really wish I was more of a makeup buff, but these are the products I use on a regular day, such as today.

Have a great day everyone!

Plans for the week

I don't really have as much time to hit the shops as I would like, so I have to plan my shopping trips with friends, in order to make sure I make it to all the shops I want to go to.

My next shopping trip is planned for Thursday, and I just realized I HAVE to go to Accessorize! I'm a huge fan, and have been for years, and their new items look just lovely!

Today I'm loving...

I dont actually only like super-expensive things you know. Like today, I am totally excited about this cute Splendid crystal-studded t-shirt dress.

Totally unusual, wearable and comfy all at once! Love it!

Now I'm off to do some shopping for the weekend... Have a great day, everyone!

Today I'm loving...

... this Diane von Furstenberg silk chiffon vest.
I mean, even without posting a picture of it, I'm sure you could understand why.

Because isn't silk one of the greatest materials in the world?
And isn't chiffon one of the most feminine?
And aren't vests just fantastic for layering?

Not to mention Diane von Furstenberg is, and always has been a total genius.

Need I say more?

(well, I might just add that I think this is actually a pretty easy DIY-project, so personally, I'm going down that route...)

Today I'm loving...

... something that I actually usually love too, and that is: Things that are not quite what the appear to be.

Like this Donna Karan jacket. Can you believe that it is a leather jacket? The material just doesn't look like leather AT ALL, and that's exactly what makes it so cool, if you ask me.

I'd love to get my hands on this one, but living in a country where it's extremely hot for the most part of the year (which means I'd have to be insane to wear a leather jacket between April and November) and having way too many leather jackets already makes me think I can't quite justify buying it.

So I'm passing, yet drooling, for now...

Latest Ebay buys

I always manage to find stuff that I just feel like I "have" to have on Ebay. I think I partly like shopping on Ebay so much because it's really nice to get packages instead of just old bills and other boring stuff in the mail too.

I usually go for beauty products when I get stuff off Ebay, but sometimes I spot other things as well. See some of my latest non-beauty related purchases above. (Missoni hand towels, black basic dress and a turqoise maxi dress for summer)

For me, from me

I've just purchased something for myself that I've been wanting for years (since I saw one of these babies for the first time), and hoped that someone would get me as a present ever since.

I never managed to get a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet as a gift though, so I figured... sometimes you just need to take care of it yourself!

So now I am the proud and happy owner of an empty Thomas Sabo charm bracelet.
But don't worry, I'll get to the actual charms soon! There's just so many to choose from I don't really know where to start...

Good morning!

It's really early but I woke up super-early and couldn't go back to sleep, so instead I am sitting curled up in a blanket on the sofa (I'm always cold in the morning!). But I would much rather curl up in this charming ASOS Waterfall Cardigan instead!

I still think slouchy, slightly oversized cardigans are the cutest! And this one is no exception.
Have a great day everyone!

Pretty as a peach

I don't know about you guys, but I thought there was one - and only ONE! - really outstanding dress yesterday at the Oscar's: the one worn by Rachel McAdams!

The colors are just so dreamy, and they suit her really well. Not to mention the flattering shape and the gorgeous fabric. She looks like a stunning watercolor painting... and I love those!

She was simply in a league of her own!

Obsession of the day...

Isn't the pink fabric on these pics (from Louis Vuittons last campaign) just gorgeous?

I love it! (and I usually don't even like LV that much...)

So far, so good

Up until now, my weekend has indeed been filled with relaxing things, and relaxing things only.
Good food, a walk on the beach, a jacuzzi (pictured) and magazines (the best one pictured)... all I can ask for now is a mani-pedi and I am as good as new!

I'm alive!

This blog has been inactive for quite some time. I've been incredibly busy with work, but this weekend I am going to pamper myself (with some products from Sabon. And possibly with some glossy mags...) and really relax. So hopefully I'll find something "blogworthy" during that time as well...

Happy weekend everyone!
