My thoughts on fashion week, part 4

Bottega Veneta is a brand that I've always loved, but never owned. The reason being of course the sky high prices of their marvellous creations.

The Spring 2010 collection is no exception. I love how the dresses look so effortless and casual, yet luxurious and expensive at the same time.
That's a very hard thing to achieve, and while many other brands fail when they try to attempt something similar, Bottega Veneta has managed to convince me once again that if I just had the budget for it, I'd buy their whole collection without any hesitation...

All that glitters isn't gold

Everybody has been raving about the Balmain jackets, but I'd like to take this opportunity to rave a little about Balmain's Swarovski crystal cropped jeans.

I'm usually not one for clothing with a lot of sparkles or glitter on it (even though I do like the occational Swarovski jewelry piece!), but these jeans appeal to me for some reason.
I think it's because I've been looking for some out-of-the-ordinary leggings and in a way, these superskinny jeans bear a resemblance to leggings, only they're more practical in winter (they'll keep you warmer and all).

Unfortunately, they are a bit too pricey for me.

I've never spent £1,626.09 on a pair of jeans before, and I don't think I should start now either.
If money wasn't an issue, I'd definately go for these jeans though, if only to be able to brighten up a cold winter's day by some sparkles!

My thoughts on fashion week, part 3

This jacket (or is it a dress? No, it's a jacket, right?) from Moschino Cheap and Chic is just so cute.

I've always been a sucker for both Moschino (even though I do think their collections have gone downhill in the past couple of years) and for basics with a small twist or interesting detail. And this jacket really does represent both Moschino and interesting detailing in a wonderful way.

It's mine

Remember how I was drooling over the Ann Taylor necklaces with pearls, chains and some black ribbon a while ago?
Well, I didnt manage to find any Ann Taylor jewelry around here, but I did pop in to Accessorize the other day, and I bought the Mademoiselle Pearl & Ribbon Bando pictured instead. It's a good substitute for now.

An Owl Print Laminated Shopper also tagged along home. I really needed a new shopper for trips to the grocery store. (which I hate so it's nice if you have something fun to bring along at least)

My thoughts on fashion week, part 2

So far my favourite collection for Spring 2010 is the Burberry Prorsum one. I love all the ruching in unexpected places, especially the cute ruched skirts that are combined with simple tops in muted colors.

I've been into ruching for a while now, but I've found it extremely hard to find items with some cute ruching on them. Hopefully it will be easier soon, thanks to Burberry Prorsum...

Virtual catwalk: Best of Scandinavia

It's time to show off some gorgeous and stylish Scandinavian bloggers again.

From top to bottom: Arez (love those leggings!), Ia, MouMou and Stephanie.

Silver & gold

I'm drawn to simple, basic clothing for fall.

But simplicity in clothing doesn't have to mean that you look boring. You just need to find some really interesting accessories to go with your basics!
At the moment I'm totally into jewelry as a way to spruce up an outfit. This necklace, for instance, does that wonderfully.
(I think it would look better in silver though, but that's just me...)

My thoughts on fashion week, part 1

This jacket from Badgley Mishka is really pretty, wearable and I think it could easily become a staple in my closet.

It does, however, look like something that would be pretty easy to make yourself (which also means there will probably be something "inspired" around in a while as well), so no, my fall indulgence won't be this jacket.

I still love it though!

Italians do it better

Gianmarco Lorenzi's collection for autum/winter is just amazing.

Why do I always have to fall in love with things that are impossible to get where I live?!?!

Isn't she lovely part 2

Jessica Szohr is another actress who looks amazing at all times. Not only because she is incredibly beautiful but because she has an amazing sense of style too.

Just take a look at this simple, comfortable, yet so enviable outfit that she wore to the premiere of True Blood if you don't believe me!

Isn't she lovely?

I've always thought that Kate Bosworth is one of the most stunning actresses of her generation.
Of course, it does help that she has an amazing sense of style too.
Just take a look at her in this Rodarte dress.
Simply... perfection!

Sparkling round my little finger

I'm really not familiar with Ann Taylor (because I've never lived in a place where I could get her stuff I think) but I coincidentally ran into some of her jewelry, which I really like...

Too bad I won't be able to get a hold of these cuties!

Sweet child of mine

Is it strange to be so childish that you still like Hello Kitty?
(well, at least the 35th Anniversary Collection, I think it looks really good!)

Still undecided

I can't quite decide if I like the long chiffon-skirts Chanel is trying to convince us to wear this winter.
I mean, I love chiffon, especially in large quantities, and the skirts look great in the ad campaign but... are they wearable? Or would anyone less supermodel like look like a complete fool in them?

I really don't know!

I'm addicted tonight

I love chocolate, and I love shoes. So of course I love these chocolate shoes!
Seeing ordinary items made of unusual materials is always cool, even though I am not sure how practical these shoes would be on a hot summer's day...

Sometimes it's good to be patriotic

Speaking of winter (and fall!) clothing, I am totally loving this jacket (as a whole) and the bottom of this dress (the top could be more interesting, I think) from Swedish Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair.

The autumn leaves of red and gold

I guess you know you are ready for fall when you start drooling over winter clothing.
I realized I'm already waiting for fall today when my heart skipped a beat when I saw these two beauties on Net-a-porter:
Amana chunky wool cardigan by Diane von Furstenberg and Elliott fringed leather skirt by Kimberly Ovitz.

Virtual catwalk: Best of Scandinavia

I haven't been showing off welldressed Scandinavian bloggers in a while. But make no mistake, it's not because I think people have started dressing worse or anything, I just haven't had the time to read blogs lately.
But better late than never... Meet Camille, Ellie, Piret, and Salla.

New York Girls

I'm totally loving the two dresses Carrie Bradshaw (because that IS who she is in these pictures!) has been seen wearing while filming the Sex and the city movie sequel.

Totally wearable, totally cute and totally stylish!
