What a great way to start the weekend!

My weekend started in a great way this week, since not only did my husband return from a business trip he had been on, he also brought presents, both for me and the little one. Some of those presents were eatable, and sadly now gone, but the present from Furla I got still remains:

It happened to be a very simple and very chic black handheld bag from the brand, which happens to be a brand I adore anyway. (So much so that my husband has given me presents from this brand in the past as well, including last year)

I don't know if it's because of the season, but I am really into dark, simple pieces when it comes to accessories right now, as opposed to the colorful and trendy versions that I usually go for. They just seem more timeless somehow. Or maybe I am just growing up?

My weekend so far

I still have a bit of a cold, but I still managed to get out a bit today, and that was just lovely. This day really made me appreciate where I live, since the weather is definitely nicer here than in a lot of other places in the world at the moment (and so are the views!). This is what I saw on my day out and about today:

My weekend so far...

... has been rather lovely. I've had some lovely champagne, Mumm's Cordon Rouge is a really good champagne if you want something both affordable and delicious:

And I still have another bottle, of Moet & Chandon, left for tonight or tomorrow night:

I also managed to do some shopping, and get 2 new pairs of sunglasses, which I am very excited about.

These are my new Valentino sunglasses, mostly black in colored but with one cream/beige colored stripe as well:

I think I will be using these quite a lot, black sunglasses are the most versatile ones, after all.

But since the store I bought these in had a sale, with 50 % off all sunglasses, I got a more "fun" pair as well, a pair of blue Chloe sunglasses from their latest sunglasses collection:

These are not going to match as many things as the black ones, but blue is one of my favorite colors, and I think they will look great with at least blue jeans, which I do wear on a regular basis, so I hope I will get quite some use for these too!

Wonderful weekend

Lately, I've been kind of busy with all sorts of things, and because of that, I've been kind of bad at making time for myself, relaxing and pampering myself. Which is a shame, we all need that from time to time, after all. But that all changed this weekend, because I didn't have anything planned! On purpose!

So I booked an appointment at a spa, which was actually a gift, but I hadn't gotten around to actually going yet, ate amazing things (leek patties with tzaziki, antipastis and great pasta, just to mention a few things), took nice long walks (see some of the scenery I saw in the photos in this post) and also went to the movies. Not once, but twice!

And now I have to say, my batteries are not only recharged, but as good as new! So I really have to make sure I plan more weekends just like this one in the near future. So far, super pampering and relaxing weekends have been too far apart for me...

My latest purchases

So I am still working on finding the perfect mint green pieces to add to my wardrobe, but I did find a tank top and a pair of crochet flats (not something I usually wear, but I decided I should give it a try) in a rather similar color in H&M yesterday that I ended up getting:

I would say this color is more aqua than mint green though (at least in real life, I am not sure it comes across on the photo), but it's also a pretty cute and summery color, I think. So I am pleased with this as well!

My day in pictures

I love the end of the week. It's always more relaxing for me than the beginning of the week, which is why I take the time to go shopping, strolling on the beach and whatever else I may feel like that day come Friday and Saturday each week. Great weekend so far!

Some weekends are just way more memorable than others. This weekend seems to be one of the more memorable ones in a while for me.

It all started yesterday, when I went to a fun, fantastic bachelorette party where I ate well, drank tons of cava (yum!) and laughed until my stomach hurt.

Then the weekend continued with a fun and charming event at a really cool hotel in my home town that I had never visited before.

I ate well again, had some fantastic wine again, and laughed again.
Now I think I need a detox!
