I love fashion books, as some of you already know, and I have a pretty large collection of books related to fashion in one way or the other (from Victoria Beckham's That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between - which is surprisingly good! - to the Fruits series with pictures of Japanese kids in amazing outfits, to classics such as The Little Dictionary of Fashion: A Guide to Dress Sense for Every Woman by Christian Dior as well as Genevieve Antoine Dariaux's fantastic book A Guide to Elegance: For Every Woman Who Wants to Be Well and Properly Dressed on All Occasions.
But there is always room for more, so I just ordered two books online: Dreaming of Dior: Every Dress Tells a Story by Charlotte Smith (that I have been wanting to read for like, forever! Or since it was published, anyway...) and The Thoughtful Dresser: The Art of Adornment, the Pleasures of Shopping, and Why Clothes Matter.
Can't wait for them to arrive!
i'm not much into fashion but i do love Christian Dior's collection if not others...:-)
ReplyDeleteWe all dream of Dior! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for suggesting these books. I think they'd make for good coffee table books! I've still haven't read Victoria's book.
I guess my Amazon wish list is going to be a little longer after seeing these books!
