Today I'm loving...

... a movie I went to see yesterday, Anna Karenina, from 2012, featuring Keira Knightley, Alicia Wikander, Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, just to mention a few of the most memorable members of the cast.
You see, this movie is set in 19th century Russia and is kind of half theater, half movie, which makes it very interesting to watch. And the outfits, the interiors... well, pretty much everything you see, is pretty much what you associate 19th century nobility in Russia with, so it is just gorgeous!

And of course, Anna Karenina is actually a must read book in every way (at least if you are a fan of the Russian greats like Tolstoy, like myself), so if you haven't had a chance to read it yet, at least see the movie! I felt it captured a lot of things I liked a lot about the book pretty well, too. But even though I had read the book, I also think the movie was interesting to see, because it was so artistic. So even if you have read the book, I highly recommend this for everyone liking vintage glitz and glamour, as well as costume dramas, well worth seeing!

You should be warned that men might not be as into this movie as women, however. My own certainly did not like it as much as I did, and when leaving the movie theater after the movie was over, I actually saw that some of the men - most of whom had been dragged there by wives or girlfriends, had fallen asleep! So go with a girlfriend, your mother or sister instead if you can!
