Hermes loot from Avignon, Provence, France

As I mentioned in my previous post, I visited the gorgeous area of Provence in southern France recently, and of course one simply needs to shop for some of those amazing products the French are so good at making while in France!

In my case, I decided to do a teeny tiny bit of shopping at Hermes, that happens to be one of my favorite brands.

I got a new scarf, as I have been so happy with my previous scarves from Hermes, so I knew I would be using any new scarves I got too.

This scarf is called Under the Waves, and I have actually been eyeing it for a while, but none of the other Hermes stores I visited recently had it in stock (it's a scarf from last season), so I was very happy to find it in Avignon!
I also got an enameled colorful bangle.

I actually had another bangle in mind, but they did not have the one I wanted, so I ended up getting this one instead, the Harnais des Presidents.

My husband actually thought that was enough shopping, as I also planned to visit the Hermes store in Aix-en-Provence (sadly, I never had the chance to do that in the end...), but I grabbed some of the new shower gels, with brand new scents, on the way out as well. I am yet to try them, but look forward to doing so soon!

What my Friday has looked like so far

I went shopping in a newly renovated, yet historic area, that has just turned into an outdoor shopping mall.
I dined at a restaurant with a very cool concept: they give you a picnic bag, filled with goodies, that you can eat on the grass outside the restaurant (yes, a blanket to sit on is included of course!).
I also had a mani pedi (OPI's Bubble Bath was my color of choice today), but forgot to photograph that, and I still have several things planned for the day.

I must say I am pretty happy with my Friday so far! I hope everyone else is having a great Friday as well, and an amazing weekend to come!

The highlight of my day today

Was definitely some shopping I did, namely from Alber Elbaz's collaboration with Lancome:
I have been looking forward to putting my hands on something from this collection for quite some time now  (proof can be found here), being a huge fan of both Lancome (their mascaras are simply the best!) and Alber Elbaz for years now.

And I have to say I wasn't disappointed, at least the packaging on this stuff is absolutely gorgeous!
If you're interested in what I thought of the mascaras themselves (as well as the freebie mirror they gave me because I bought 2 products from the line), I will be reviewing them over at my beauty blog shortly.

What my weekend has consisted of so far

Some shopping...
Lovely cupcakes...
Trying out some new, interesting drinks, such as Limoncello, Watermelon Liquour and some Cava...
... as well as some eatable goodies from Fox Home's new Della Villa range. This is a divine Toffee Nougat topping, for instance. Perfect for pancakes and waffles!
So I must say my weekend has not been bad at all so far.

Hope all my readers are having a great weekend as well!

My latest H&M haul

Yesterday, I went shopping at H&M, for the first time in quite some time, which is a bit unusual for me, since I usually shop there very often. I mostly buy basics, in different, trendy colors, though, and this time was no exception.

Some of the stuff I got was:

A pair of neon yellow flats
(I love H&M flats, as you may already know)

As well as a tank top in the same shade, from H&Ms Concious Collection
I especially like the scalloped edges on this top, they make a huge difference:
Because I have been eyeing this Marc by Marc Jacobs bag for a while, and I thought both the shoes and the top would match it quite nicely if I end up getting it (which I think I will, now):
I also got a neon pink basic top (because I wanted something to match my new Paul's Boutique bag, that has a big neon pink detail at the front):

And a mint green basic top (because who doesn't love mint green these days?):

As well as a very cool kimono style blouse with lace details, in red:

(unfortunately it really doesn't photograph well at all, though!)

And a black and white striped tunic:
As well as a sleepwear set in pink and white:

H&M makes really good sleepwear, so I tend to buy at least one set each and every season. And I guess this season was no exception!

So all in all, it was a pretty productive shop stop, even though none of the pieces are really very spectacular. But you really do need basics in your wardrobe as well!

Some more images from my last trip

Images speak more than a thousand words, so besides the photos I showed you guys in my previous post, I decided to show you some more, instead of going into too much detail in writing.

Some of the high lights of my trip were:

- Shopping
I love Marimekko, so visiting their flagship store was a great experience!

One of my favorite window displays was this Louis Vuitton one, with a vintage type writer:
And when I returned home, I saw the exact same display in my local Louis Vuitton store too!

- Having some goodies
- Seeing interesting historical buildings

as well as going to very charming restaurants and coffee shops:

So all in all, it was an excellent trip, which is good, since I won't be going on another one for quite some time.

Shopped lately

Of course you shop a lot when you travel, and I have actually been shopping at home a bit recently too. And while I have posted pics of some of the things I bought on my other blogs, the items I have been getting have not been shown on this blog. So in case you are curious, keep reading (and see some links to posts about the items in my other blogs as well, in case you want to read reviews and know more about them).

Chinese silk shoes, from China. Several different kinds, of course.

BB cream (my first!)
A new Longchamp Le Pliage bag
A skull bag. Not an Alexander McQueen one, but I like this one too!

Lace flats.
Studded trainers.
Hologram jeans.
The awesome Dior Addict Lip Maximizer.
Weird Asian face masks. Can't wait to try these actually!
Several Soap and Glory products. (My new skin care favorite brand!) I've reviewed some of them already, here, here and here.

But even with all this shopping lately, I still need to do some more. My fall wardrobe isn't quite what I hoped it would be by now, you see, since I focused mostly on shoes and beauty products while shopping recently, you see.

Have a great weekend everyone!
