The fall collections are upon us!

I simply love this time of year. You are starting to get a first glimpse (well, besides the glimpses you see on Style.com when the collections are first shown) of all the fall collections, and can start planning your coming purchases for the next seasons.

This time of year used to be even better when you were in school of course, but it is still pretty cool, and I have already found quite a few gems among the things that are out by now. I mentioned some of the things I loved in the H&M fall collection in my last post, and now I thought I would also show you some of my favorites on Net-a-Porter.

This Printed plissé silk dress from Bottega Veneta, the masters of elegance, is one of them:

It's a typical classic dress with a twist, which I love, and the combination of white and black in this pattern is timeless, making this an extremely good investment.
And this Astrid printed silk-voile gown by Erdem is another one. Extremely expensive, of course, so not something I will actually be ordering, but I think it is absolutely stunning, and if my clothing budget for the season was (a lot) bigger, I would definitely get it.

Last but not least, it is probably not that surprising that my favorite brand Alexander McQueen managed to produce something amazing: this lovely brocade dress:

It's fun, flirty and very typical and classic Alexander McQueen!

... the fact that Net a porter is having a huge sale right now (although the only thing I wanted, an Alexander McQueen bag, sold out really fast) and this gorgeous Valentino dress:

It would be absolutely perfect for this awesome party on New Year's Eve that I am invited to!

I have to say I was honestly very sad when I heard that Valentino Garavani himself had decided to retire. But his legacy still lives on in this brand, for sure!

... this gorgeous Sonia Rykiel dress.

To be honest, I have never been obsessed with Sonia Rykiel, but I have a friend who is. And I can begin to see why...

... these super fun Marc Jacobs headphones!

Aren't they just awesome? Funny, cute, but hip and cool at the same time.

At 55 GBP, these headphones are way too expensive (especially considering that I do not even need them) but I still want them in both colors. Am I nuts?

... these gorgeous silk blouses by Roberto Cavalli (even though I am normally not a Cavalli-fan).

C'est chic!

Black and white is always chic, so I think this maxi dress from Sass & Bide is really nice, and timeless.

Net-a-porter is also selling a t-shirt in the same fabric, which is also pretty awesome, but I still prefer the dress.

Sometimes I honestly get annoyed with myself over the silly, useless things I crave.

Like, who actually needs a Smythson passport cover...

and camera case?

Even though they are awfully cute and would really cheer me up on airports (which I hate! I don't mind flying at all but waiting in line for hours and hours at airports sucks!)...

... this cute J Crew silk pajama from Net-a-Porter.

Every winter I buy several pairs of pajamas, which my fiancee thinks is really odd. He thinks people should not spend too much money on stuff they only wear in the house. Because "no-one sees them anyway!" and all. But I disagree.

It is really important for me to be able to relax when I am at home, and since I feel better if I wear something cute and comfy, I care about how my pajamas look and feel.

So every winter, I get a few new pairs and toss out a few old ones. So far I have gotten one new pair only, so I am sure I will be getting some more too!

... the gorgeous Ashish pieces Net-a-porter has started selling. They are so much fun and so colorful, perfect in order to cheer you up when it gets dark in the winter.

A thing that made me go "Hmmm?!"

Okay, so I know not everyone will agree with me on this, but I saw something on Net-a-porter today that I really didn't think worked very well. I am all for mixing and matching different styles, but this Christopher Kane Embroidered Leather jacket is just weird!

I mean, flowers just really do not suit a leather jacket, and this jacket makes Christopher Kane look schitzofrenic more than anything!

... this adorable Matthew Williamson cardigan. I don't know what it is about me and cardigans lately, but I have been going nuts for them. I already bought 4 new ones in just a couple of week. And if this one wasn't so expensive, I might get it too!

... this awesome Martine Gold tangled pearl necklace by Lee Angel.
I have always loved pearls, but I almost don't own any (I do have some though, but not nearly as many as I would like to have), simply because I think most pearl necklaces look too old-fashioned. And who wants to look older than they are, right?

But this necklace is fun and quirky. I love it!

Today I'm loving...

... this awesome Erdem skirt.

But I know I would never wear such a fancy, long skirt, it is just not me, no matter how much I try to tell myself that it is. And the colors are really not for me either.

But hey, if you are a brunette and not a boring blonde who can't pull off these colors like me, go for it! Seriously!
