Starting to shop for post-pregnancy

As I've mentioned on the blog before, I am currently pregnant, but I don't have long to go now, which means that I have already started shopping a bit for what I will wear after the baby arrives. I definitely do not intend to wear maternity clothes after the baby is here (which would be a bit of an issue even if I did, since I have not bought a lot of maternity clothing anyway), but I do think I will want to be comfortable, so I started with picking up some pants that look comfy at the ASOS sale, which is on now.

Nothing's more comfy than leggings, of course. So I HAD to get 2 pairs of those, in different colors.

And these glammed up joggers are perfect for all the exercise I intend to be doing.

(I love the colors too!)

All these items, with the exception of the black leggings are currently on sale over at ASOS, so if you see something you like, you can get these items at discounted prices there now.

Next step will be to find some comfy, yet cute tops...

Shopped at the ASOS sale

If you've been reading this blog for a while, you may be aware of how big of a fan I am of ASOS in general (it's fair to say that I shop there on a regular basis) and of their sales in particular (I always seem to buy quite a lot of things when they have a sale), so it's really no wonder that I have once again managed to find quite a lot of things in their sale. What I got was:
- A pair of pastel green Pieces studded trainers.
I just love this color!

- A Becksondergaard C-Starry Sky Scarf.
I fell in love with the pattern on this scarf, to be honest.
And I was in need of a black scarf to add to my ever growing scarf collection anyway. Plus, it's always nice to get acquainted with new brands, and I have no previous experience with Becksondergaard, so it will be nice to get to know this brand a bit, quite a lot of their other scarves look really nice too.

- A lace print scarf from New Look.
I have always loved lace, and love anything in lace or that looks like lace, so I think it is about time I get a lace scarf too. The pattern seems pretty.

Shopped: At the ASOS sale

I did go shopping in a department store today, like I mentioned in the previous post, but I actually also did some online shopping, namely at the ASOS sale. If you've been reading this blog for a while, you are probably aware of the fact that ASOS is in fact one of my favorite stores to shop in online, if not THE favorite, so of course I always try to get something when they have a big sale. This time, I decided to pick up:

A Liquorish owl scarf, because I love owls and I thought this blue color would go rather well with jeans:
A red scarf with the same pattern, because I really don't have any red scarves for some reason. Which is actually a bit strange, since I love both the color red and scarves. So it was simply time to change that!
And these cute flats:
I love flats with animal faces on them for some reason, my Marc Jacobs mouse flats are among my favorite pairs, for instance, so I thought this would be a really nice addition to my collection.

Shopped: At the ASOS sale

It's no secret that I love shopping at ASOS, but somehow my wish list over there always seems to be so long that I never actually get around to ordering everything I want. And the items that have to wait the longest to get ordered are the rather boring ones. Somehow shopping for a new, pretty dress, for instance, always seems like so much more fun than buying basics and stuff like socks.

So I think their sales are an excellent opportunity to pick such "boring" items up, and that's actually what I've been doing during their sales for a long, long time already. This time I mostly got socks, not that I need them now, living in a super hot and humid country, but I will come fall and winter, and it's nice to be prepared for that in advance. These are the pairs I got:

I also got a pair of white Havaianas that were on sale too. I love Havaianas and have so many pairs already, making these a true staple for me, but for some reason I don't have a white pair yet. So I was happy to be able to pick these up at the sale as well:

Sales shopped: French Connection winter accessories

While I love the sales this time of year, they can get kind of over whelming, since there are so many items to look through, both in real stores and in online stores. So because I simply haven't had time to look through all the stuff on sale right now, I actually have shopped less in the sales than I usually do this year. But I have bought some beauty products (you can read more about those on my beauty blog, Beauty made fun, if you're interested) and I just made an order for some basic, but very useful winter accessories from French Connection, over at the ASOS sale.

I got:
A snood (my first snood, as a matter of fact, even though I have an amazing collection of other scarves already!) from their Purly Blizzard set:
Mittens from the same set
and a hat from the same set, all in black, because I have way more winter coats than I would like to admit, so I figured these would go well with them all, due to the neutral color. But actually some of the more colorful winter accessories are really nice as well, so I am think of ordering another, more colorful set too, but let's see...
Here is a close up of the material these are made of:
I really need accessories like these at the moment, because I have a winter holiday planned soon, and I actually didn't have things like these already. And I think this is what sales are actually good for: buying items you need, but don't really enjoy shopping for otherwise (I personally never look at accessories like these when I'm "doing the stores", but maybe that's just me?), because at least you don't have to pay as much for them as you would otherwise that way.

Shopped: New shoes

Ok, so the gorgeous Charlotte Olympia heels weren't for me, but like I mentioned when I noticed that the ASOS sale had started, I will probably be getting quite a few things from there. So it came as no surprise that I decided to order two pair of basic, but useful shoes just now.

One of the pairs I got was some high top studded trainers (because I already have a similar pair that I have been wearing to death when I need trainers for some reason, and I started being bored by always wearing the same pair) with studs and some shiny side panels:

And a pair of comfy looking heels with colorful studs:

Perfect for work, because I work long hours so I can't wear the prettiest and thinnest heels while working. And something that is kind of low and wide heelwise AND cute is really hard to find, so whenever I run into something that could work, I need to get them.

Both of these pairs are from ASOS' own brand. I have some ASOS shoes previously, and I've been very happy with them, so I'm thinking I will like these too. Fingers crossed!

And let's see what more the sale will bring me, when I have some time to spare....

The ASOS sale is on!

And while I really should not be shopping too much at the moment (like everyone, I've been spending quite a lot of money this time of year, and I also should be saving for some serious shopping I intend to do during an upcoming trip in February), it's hard to resist when I see items I've been eyeing for quite some time heavily discounted.

So I do think I will be picking up quite some items before the sale is over. So far, I've only splurged on some Freya (one of my favorite brands for lingerie, swimwear and sleepwear!) Piper items, such as this sleep set:

Some of my latest online purchases

As many of my readers know, I am a huge fan of ASOS, and since they have both a sale, special deals in honor of the Olympics and special discounts at the moment, I have been shopping quite a bit there lately. Some of the things I've bought during the past weeks over at ASOS are:
A basic dress with a ruched neckline, in both blue and black
A blazer with lovely scalloped edges (I love anything scalloped, as some of you may remember)
A slightly shiny, floral jaquard blazer, perfect for parties!

A loose fit, midi length dress with pockets that I think will come in handy when travelling and relaxing at resorts in September
So I guess you could say I am into knee length dresses and blazers at the moment...

Don't miss the ASOS sale

If you are a fan of ASOS, like me, you should know that there is a sale going on there right now. So far I have gotten quite a few things from the men's section for my husband and a plain chiffon skirt for myself, but I plan to take another look to see if I can find something else as well.
