Tip!

If anyone else is looking for the perfect, casual lace t-shirt, I just found a great one at American Apparel (and they also sell other awesome lace pieces if you are interested). Highly recommended!

The sales are here!

It might sound weird, but one of the things I like most about summer is actually the summer sales. You can find incredible deals and stock up on stuff you need, but don't want to spend too much on. So far, I haven't really had time to hit the sales, but I have started checking some of the online sales out. ASOS for instance has some really nice and very cheap stuff on sale right now.

I am planning on getting some clothes for yoga (the pants pictured are from American Apparel, who I love!), some cute bags and possible some jump suits (I still love this trend and think I will next year too).
Oh, and since I haven't gotten myself a tassel scarf yet, the sale would be a great time to try one of those out too. The pink is in a really cute colour as well, so why not?
So for those of you looking for some bargains, don't forget to check ASOS out! (the pieces shown are all 10 pounds or less!)

This is not my idea of a good time

I'm the kind of person who doesn't do basics very well. If I could choose, I'd be shopping for colorful, sparkly one-of-a-kind pieces all the time. Buying basics (and by that I mean timeless pieces that remind me of stuff I already sort of have) has always bored me a little bit.
However, I do wear a lot of basics. I'm not the kind of person who plans my outfits religiously weeks in advance or anything, so a lot of the time, basics is what I reach after early in the morning when I really don't want to be thinking of anything clothing related at all.
So how do you solve this puzzle of not liking shopping for basics while loving wearing them?

I do it by shopping in bulk for all sorts of basics I could possibly need once or twice a year.
That way, I can shop for stuff I actually enjoy shopping for, during the rest of the year and still manage my wardrobe every morning.

For the past few years, my shopping trip while on a basics hunt has included a rather long visit to American Apparel (a store I don't visit regularly otherwise) and by the looks of their website I think I will be going there this year again.
Now the question is... does a circle scarf qualify as a basic or not?
