If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know how much I love the idea of a capsule collection. This is why I was very happy to hear that a British fashion designer, Osman Yousefzda, is designing just that for British fashion retailer John Lewis.
The collection will be on sale starting September 9, and will consist of "jersey dresses in red and black, a black and white-piped dress-coat and a luxe-cashmere coat in pale grey", according to John Lewis.
That sounds really good to me! For those of you who remember my own attempt to build a capsule wardobe a while ago, those were actually the exact same colors I had planned for that capsule wardrobe as well, so this collection sounds right up my alley!
And I say that without even knowing much about Osman Yousefzda or his work otherwise. (From what I could gather, it seems he has Afghan parents, but was born in the UK, and runs his own label "Osman". His first collection was shown in 2006).
I just hope more fashion designers will do the same!

My latest buy
This very Missoni-esque top actually fits right into my capsule wardrobe, since it has both black and grey in it. Not exactly what I needed to complete the capsule wardrobe, but a nice new addition anyway.

I got started!
Remember how I was considering building a capsule wardrobe a while ago? Well, I went to H&M yesterday, and I kind of got started on it.
I got two pairs of skinny pants (one grey pair, and one black pair), a long, black cardigan, and two pairs of shoes: a red pair, and a grey pair. I also happen to have a similar pair of shoes in black, from last year (that I have barely used, because I forgot I owned them!).
So now I am thinking I need to buy:
- some tops
- some tank tops
- a skirt
- possibly a grey cardigan
- a red handbag (I already have grey and black ones, obviously)
and combine these pieces with a vintage Little Black Dress that I have (but have only used once), and I should have my first capsule wardrobe! I'm kind of exited!
Here are some better pics of the shoes, as well as the cardigan (but in another color), from H&Ms website:

Today I'm loving...
... this amazing Ziggy suede biker jacket. I am actually looking for a new biker jacket (preferrably in grey, but black will do too), but I never even considered a suede one before, mine have always been leather up until now. But why not? Suede is not a material I love on shoes, but on jacket it should be pretty easy to take care of....
Hmm! But does it fit into my new plan of a capsule wardrobe or not? I really need to consider that, because I think I will go ahead with the capsule wardrobe-plan after all. I've done some more research and it really seems like such a great idea, I should at least try it once...

Right now....
... I am seriously considering creating a capsule wardrobe. I love the concept, and while I don't think I could part with all of my current stuff, having a capsule wardrobe in a separate place in my closet would make it easier to get dressed in the morning.
But I have to say, putting a capsule wardrobe together seems really hard! I mean, the pieces in it need to be perfect and fit you perfectly, and I have trouble finding a single piece like that some times, let alone a whole wardrobe!
Also, I am not really sure where I should even begin the planning. Maybe with the colors?
Black, white, grey and some splashes of pastels should work I guess?
If any of your readers have any experiences with capsule wardrobes, let me know! All tips regarding this are greatly appreciated!
