As usual, there are tons of trends for the upcoming season, and as usual, I love some of them, while I am not a fan of some others. But in order to keep this blog positive, let's skip the trends I don't like, and focus on the ones I do:
The blazers
A great way to look a bit more dressed up, no matter what you wear with them. I also love that it makes the look more tailored and structured. What's new for Fall 2011 is that there are so many blazers in materials and looks that we have never seen before. So while the blazer is a classic fashion piece, the new ways to make them, still keeps them fresh and cool.
The maxi skirts
We've seen them for summer, but they really work for fall and winter too!

The structured, ladylike looks
A la Mad Men. I have always loved these looks, so I am thrilled they are fashionable again! And I do think Mad Men has at least partly inspired several of the collections for Fall 2011 as well.
The comfy pants
Because yes, style is important, but comfort is important too. And a lot of the pants this season are really easy to wear! Gotta love that!
The colorful pants
So easy to wear (just add simple tops and accessories in neutrals, and you are good to go!) and a pop of color is always fun when it's all dark and depressing outside.

The emerald tones colorwise
I have always loved emerald as a color, so I will definitely be getting some emerald pieces this fall!

One of my favorite brands: Vanessa Bruno
A lot of my friends, even the ones who are into fashion, do not know of Vanessa Bruno, but this brand is one of my absolute favorites for basic pieces, that are still fun, durable and timeless.
All her pieces are generally very wearable, but they are also made in very luxurious materials, such as very good wools and silks, that feel really great on. I have always been kind of obsessed with different materials, so the fact that Vanessa Bruno only uses the best of them, is a big plus for me.
Basically, this is a brand I would highly recommend for those who want to get more familiar with the typically French style of fashion. It's not very flashy, monogrammed or expensive looking, but it is well made, timeless and gorgeous on.
I personally am yet to buy a Vanessa Bruno piece that fell apart, so all the Vanessa Bruno pieces I have, have been great investments for me.
Here is a pic of Vanessa Bruno herself, for those of you who are curious:

It's also quite popular in Paris and France, and since I am a huge fan of the Parisian style, that makes it even more appealing to me. The brand also has quite an interesting history, founded in 1996 by Vanessa Bruno, who was only 24 years old at the time. However, she was alreadt quite familiar with all aspects of fashion by then, being the daughter of a Danish supermodel as well as the founder of the French fashion brand Emmanuelle Khan.

Today I'm loving...
... this gorgeous Printed silk-satin shirt dress from Gucci for Fall 2011.
I think Gucci's horsebit is a very classic pattern, and I love shirt dresses a lot. I have several, but not such an iconic one, of course. I think this is an absolutely amazing look for fall!

New goodies at H&M
As you all know, I am a huge H&M fan. So I am always thrilled when they get tons of new stuff in. I am saying this so you can imagine how happy I was when I saw that tons and tons of new things for fall had been added to their website today.
I already want tons of things, and I am not even sure these things are available in stores yet!
I love the color, I love the material, and I really don't have enough skirts (I always go for either dresses or pants instead). So this skirt is really perfect for me!
I've always been kind of obsessed with lace, so whenever I find lace pieces, I tend to get them if they look nice, fit me and are reasonably priced. And H&M has a lot of nice lace pieces for fall! Again... perfect!
You always need tops, and nice colors and fun dots are the perfect... ehm, a brilliant... way to make them more fun. Love, love, love!
And last but not least: I'm gonna get myself several pairs of H&M flats. I love them and buy at least one pair every season and wear them tons, until they are completely worn out.
What do you guys think about the H&M fall line?
